Bastrop, Texas has again stepped up to assist Hurricane Ike
survivors much like they did for Waveland, Mississippi as a
relief mission in September of 2005. After Hurricane
Ike slammed into our Texas coastline, there was such
devastating damage it was unbelievable. With great tenacity and
heroic efforts of support, the people of Bastrop, Texas have had a
steady stream of relief being sent out. While there is now help
coming from other sources, our help is still needed. This is a
monumental task and we would greatly appreciate any help you would
like to offer.
Items still needed:
Food, Camping Gear, Personal Hygiene Items, Diapers, Formula,
First Aid, Sun Screen, Insect Repellent, Air Mattresses, Cots,
Gasoline Generators (and the gasoline to run them), Tarps, FLood
Buckets, Tables, Chairs,Shovels, Rakes, Hoes, Hand Saws, Rubber
Boots, Can Openers, New Sock & Underwear, etc.
Think about being dropped on Gilligan's Island and what would you
need to survive, that's what we need..... everything! Thanks to
everyone who has already participated in this effort of
survival.
Articles for the changing needs.
